Company Statuses

There are a couple different statuses a company can have:

  1. Approved

  2. Pending

  3. Inactive

  4. Rejected


Approved Status

These companies are considered "active" and have access to the B2B Edition features.


Pending Status

These companies are considered "inactive" and do not have access to the B2B Edition features. They are currently in the approval process to gain access to these features.


Inactive Status

These companies are considered "inactive" and do not have access to the B2B Edition features. This status can be caused due to the following reasons:

  1. The company does not have any admin users, as each B2B Edition company requires at least one. The admin user(s) may have been deleted from the BigCommerce "customers" portal or moved to a different customer group.

  2. The linking customer group may have been deleted from the BigCommerce "customer groups" tab. Recall that each B2B Edition company is a customer group in BigCommerce.

  3. The B2B Edition API was used to change the status of the company to "inactive".

To change the status of the company from "inactive" to "approved", you can add an admin user to the company.


Rejected Status

These companies are considered "inactive" and do not have access to the B2B Edition features. They went through the approval process but was rejected by the merchant.
