Instead of adding addresses for existing companies one by one, you can do so in bulk by importing them in a CSV file. To do this, you use the same method as creating companies in bulk.

This method can be used to quickly make any edits or additions to company data inside B2B Edition.

Export (optional for new addresses, necessary for address edits)

This step is highly recommended as it will provide you with the base data already complete in the import template so all you have to do is edit, or add the new data!

  1. Navigate to the "Companies" menu tab.

  2. Select the "Export > Export Company Addresses"

  3. Open the CSV and make your edits!

  4. Be sure to remove additional columns before importing. This is typically the first column (Customer Group ID) and the last 3 columns (Company Status, Company Create Date, and Company Update Date) in order to match the import template.

For Address Edits

It is necessary to export the list of current addresses and make your edit corresponding to the Address ID. This is how B2B Edition identifies which address is being updated. If the correct address ID is not included B2B Edition will create a new address instead of making the edit.

How to Import Addresses

  1. Navigate to the "Companies" menu tab.

Note: If you only need to add or update certain information, it may be beneficial to export the data prior, make the edits, and then import it.

  2. Find and click on Import > Import Company Addresses" on the top right-hand corner.

***Note: Be sure to remove additional columns before importing. This is typically the last 3 columns (Company status, company create date, and company update date) in order to match the import template.

3. A drop-down menu will appear and you can upload a file in the following ways, “Click to “Browse File” or “Drag and Drop”.

4. Once you have filled in and uploaded the CSV template file, click “Save.” The button will turn blue if a valid file has been uploaded.

5. Go to the Dashboard and click "Company Upload Summary Notification" to see the upload status and review what was successful/failed/ or duplicate. You can download the error report to see exactly which rows failed and the error message related to it.
